The copper pitcher has "Pleasant Company" embossed on the bottom of the pitcher. How rare to find Pleasant Company items in this kind of condition-Excellent, in box! Fantastic! I say excellent because the set is so well done. But the pitcher has tarnished to a wonderful dark patina, the napkins have faint yellow spots (hardly noticeable), there is mild crazing to the bowls (AG intentionally made it that way) and box itself shows a little shelf wear itself. But to me, that is exactly what I would expect and what I love about the set. This comes from my personal collection.Momma and Mrs. Golden plan a grand party at the boarding house to celebrate two glorious occasions: the end of the war, and Addys tenth birthday! You can set Addys birthday table with two real ironstone compotes that have a crackle finish, two glass tumblers, a copper pitcher, three crocheted lace doilies, and two forks and spoons.
