Addy's Ironstone Compote Set was introduced to Addy's Collection in 1994 and retired in 2007.Our set was purchased in 1997. The set has been gently played with and carefully stored.The set is associated with the book Happy Birthday, Addy! and originally sold for $54.00.Our set set includes two white ironstone bowls, two violet tumblers , a copper pitcher , two crocheted doilies , two forks and two spoons, two linen napkins and two napkin rings .The bowls have no chips or cracks. They are white with a clear crackled overglaze, gold trim, a gold flower on one side, and the words "Pleasant Company (registered symbol)" printed under the glaze on the underside. A sticker on the underside of each bowl says, "Made in Taiwan Especially for Pleasant Company."The glasses have no chips or cracks and have a star embossed on the bottom.The two linen napkins each have a gold sticker that states, "Made in China Especially for Pleasant Company."Of the two napkin rings, one is from the original set and has the number "2" engraved on it and a gold sticker inside it that says, "Made in Taiwan Especially for Pleasant Company."The second napkin ring is a replacement.
