This is Kirsten Larson one of the original American Girls. She is wearing her original "Meet" outfit. Kirsten Larson was one of the first three Historical Characters of the American Girl Dolls, representing the Pioneer Era. Kirsten was released in 1986 along with Samantha Parkington and Molly McIntire .American Girl started sending out letters in fall 2009 stating that they would archive Kirsten Larson 's entire collection; the doll and her collection would no longer be available for purchase online, at stores, or through catalogs with the exception of books and the mini doll . Official archiving was on January 1, 2010. She is in very good used condition. Her dress looks a little faded (from sun?) on the bottom front. I do not know if this is the way the material was made to look aged since she was "born" in the late 1800's. Hair is not hard and her neck strings are long. On the left side of her mouth there is a piece of her hair which in the photos looks like a scratch or pen mark.
