Samantha Parkington was one of the first three Historical Characters of the American Girl Dolls, representing the Pioneer Era. Samantha was released in 1986 along with Kirsten Larson and Molly McIntyre . She was retired on May 31, 2009.She has just returned from the American Girl Doll Hospital where she received a new head, therefore the back of her neck is stamped American Girl, but her original head was stamped Pleasant Company. She also had her limbs tightened and her skin cleaned during her stay in the hospital. She comes in her hospital gown, socks and is wearing her hospital bracelet. She comes in her hospital box along with her get well card and Certificate of Good Health. She also comes with her Original Meet Outfit.
