This was sold to me as unused and seller stated original box - but I am not sure as the box is just plain white with no markings - it is in rough shape but does have some tissue paper that reads The American Girls Collection - it shows age as well. I do not believe the slate was ever removed from the plastic package as the packaging is still fully in tact with sticker as well. Slate nice and black on both sides. Pencil looks great also. All other pieces look fine - may be some aging to cards - I don't know as I am not original owner... Reader shows some wear as shown - not noticed unless on end but want to tell all. Bag is fine as is cloth. Seller told me she stored it in a bedroom closet for 15 years, a non-smoking home but they did use a woodburner in cold months. I do not notice any odors but please be aware of history and view all photos for your complete satisfaction. Free shipping. Happy to answer questions. Thank you.
