Wonderful example of American hand painted porcelain from the early part of the 20th century. Vase is unsigned, stands 10 3/8" tall, and depicts a well-executed rendition of poppies, a favorite theme of both American amateur and professional studio china painters. Condition is very good-to-excellent, with no chips, cracks, scratches, or repairs, with only a slight bit of wear to the gold trim around the top rim. One minor manufacturing blemish, leaving a small impression under the glaze, near the rim, as shown. Porcelain blank is marked with a Heinrich & Company, Selb, Bavaria, backstamp, found in use from 1911 to 1934.
