This auction is for a small treasure that has been privately owned by our family for at least five generations. I do not know it's history beyond that, except that it was Indian made. It is now owned by my son who is a member of the Confederated Tribes of Slietz. It is being offered due to financial reasons. Because of the many tribes once in this west coast area, I cannot say which tribe it came from. I am not an authority ~ hopefully you are! It is in in good condition except for the small piece of wood that has been broken at some point over the years. This small amount of damage is clearly shown in one of the photos. The basket is unusually small at about 4 inches across and about 2 inches tall. We believe it was a trinket basket, or a medicine's basket, but again, I am not an authority, and do not know the worth of it. Please ask any questions before bidding. Buyer is responsible for insurance, cost will vary depending on value. Sold and shipped to the US only. Out of country interested persons must contact me prior to bidding. Paypal only.
