Brand New in Manufacturers Box!

This rug was given to me by my patriotic father who owned a carpet company in 1976 and was specifically created for the bicentennial year of 1976. It has been in my possession, in a smoke free environment for the last 31 years and has remained boxed except occasionally being admired by friends and family members.

This heirloom commemorative rug proudly displays the American Flag, the Bald Eagle, and the Liberty Bell with the dates of 1776 and 1976. Rug is made of 100% acrylic fiber, very thick and plush. Tightly bound edges and extremely well made. Size: 36" X 55".

THIS JULY 4TH WE WILL BE CELEBRATING OUR 231ST YEAR OF INDEPENDENCE!

SUPPORT OUR TROOPS AND GOD BLESS AMERICA!

The American Legend

A work of art, lasting commemoration of our inheritance. The eagle, proud emblem of our country, symbol of power, courage, freedom and immortality, stands majestically before the American flag. On June 14, 1777 the Continental Congress declared that "the flag of the United States be 13 stripes alternate red and white, that the Union be 13 stars, white in a blue field representing a new constellation". General Washington is said to have described it's symbolism, "we take the stars from heaven, the red from our mother country...and the white stripes shall go down to posterity representing liberty". The Liberty Bell was rung on July 8, 1776 to herald the Declaration of Independence. It was cast by the British for their Pennsylvania Province with the motto: "Proclaim Liberty throughout the land and on the inhabitants tof". It is said to have cracked when the bell was tolled for Chief Justice Marshall in 1835.
