The numbers are slightly larger than those on your average tile and has large sized Arabic numerals in the corner for easy reading! Arranged similarly to a vintage Bakelite set, this American mahjong set has several innovations that will make it a pleasure to play.The case is made of strong, road worthy aluminum, and the mahjong tiles themselves are large, with crisp, colorful decorations engraved against an ivory white background. The trays and the inside of the case is lined with felt. Four beautiful wooden lacquered racks with pushers are included. Note that each wooden lacquered rack has space for holding and sorting betting chips. Pushers with hidden magnets in the wood snap into place on the rack, securing your betting chips and can easily be detached to straighten lines of mahjong tiles. It's a handy innovation that will delight your mahjong playing friends!This set has 166 tiles, including all the 144 tiles for classical Chinese play as well as an extra 22 tiles for the American version of the game. With this set you can comfortably play either version.
