Hi... is a bit of American Distillery history...The condition of this box and bottle up for auction is in remarkably excellent condition. I want to refer you to a site I found searching: American Medicinal spirits Co. and scrolling to the very bottom, I was surprised to find out that this item sold in Great Britain for a few hundred pounds. I know that from my interest in wines that Beaulieu Vineyards of Napa valley was the only American winery during the prohibition era that was exempt and they produced wine for the eucharist for Christian services nationwide. I believe that despite prohibition laws that AMS was allowed to produce distilled spirits for medicinal purposes. The stamp seal is still intact and reads: Produced by Harry E Wilken, Distillery no.368, bottled in bond under the supervision of the bonded warehouse, bottled at distillery bonded warehouse no.368 District of Ky., bottled fall 1933, made fall 1916. 100 Proof...This bottle has been 'emptied' to meet eBay listing requirements. This item will be packed with the utmost care. This Whiskey bottle was stored away and only 'stumbled upon' last year. Good luck bidding and please email me with any questions that may arise! Len
