American Models S Scale Louisville & Nashville Passenger Train consisting of one FP7A diesel and five streamline pasenger cars. I bought these items new at least 15 years ago intending to build a S Scale layout, but I never did (still in HO), so they have been sitting on a display shelf all these years. I stripped the original paint and repainted them in the L&N dark blue scheme using Micro-Scale decals for the lettering and striping. I am not a professional painter, but the models look real nice to me. I tested the diesel on a 5 foot section of track and it runs smoothly in both directions. The headlight is in place but does not work. The wire from the motor to the headlight is split and needs to be connected. Soldering skill is needed. The wire was caught between the frame and the body mounting lug when I removed the body shell to repaint it. The original foam in the diesel box had deteriorated so I put in new foam padding. The diesel has less than 30 minutes of running time on it. The diesel has dummy knuckle couplers and "Scale" wheels (small flanges) The passenger cars are 80 foot full length cars with dummy knuckle couplers and "Scale" wheels installed.
