American Salted Snow Flakes San Francisco Biscuit Tin Item: Antique American Salted Snow Flakes Tin Box Made By American Biscuit Co. Description: is a great antique tin box that held some kind of cracker/cookie. It is marked American Salted Snow Flakes Made by American Biscuit Co. San Francisco Cal. Net weight 2lbs. 6 oz. This also has the "Indian" swatsika symbol for good luck or life. In the Indian context, the swastika stands for universal welfare. "Swasti" means well-being of one and all, "ka" means symbol. Vedic literature is full of such prayers. Neat history actually - quite a conversation piece and bit of California history. Condition: This is old and has seen better days. T is rust, some sides better than others and some dents. The dents could be straightened, but I think it would make a great display piece in an old fashioned kitchen or resturant just as is. What a part of California history...t can't be too many of these left around! Size: 7 3/4" H x 8 1/2" w jl3102We do not personally warranty items. Items are sold as is.
