An American walnut renaissance revival period armchair ensuite with a side chair, circa 1860. The set is possibly by John Jelliff, a major New Jersey cabinet maker of the 19th century who designed similar pieces in this style. The armchair is 40 1/2" tall at the back. The seat is approx 25" wide by 23" deep. It is 15 1/2" from the floor to the seat. The side chair proportions are slightly smaller. Condition on both chairs is excellent. They are sturdy and undamaged with original finish, and they retain all the original casters . The only imperfections I can find are on the bottom front of the side chair, (see photo below). Both chairs have been recently upholstered in a very nice floral fabric, which is in pristine condition. Please email for a shipping quote. Guaranteed to be as described.
