This is a WWII T-handle shovel with cover. Manufactured by Ames, but the date is hard to read, having been worn down byuse. It appears to be either 1942 or 1943. Judging by the paint, which appears to be original, I'd guess at 1943. The T-handleis still very tight, and the wood retains most of the paint. The steel also is in very good shape. The canvas cover was made bythe W. L. DUMAS MFG. CO., dated 1943 and khaki colored. A nice shovel for your collection or display, and in overallvery good plus condition.U.S. BIDDERS ONLY.
