A WONDERFUL WOMAN Lavender, Meditating Woman A peaceful and relaxed MEDITATING WOMAN lying on her stomach completely nude in a pool. She places her hands under her chin to support herself while she gazes out. Made of solid art glass, noble blue (lavender) in color, with such detail that you can see the strands of her long hair flowing down her back. The lady and the inside of the pool are frosted while the outside edges of the pool are clear and smooth. Approximately 1 ins. high, 1-3/4 ins. wide and 3-1/2 ins. long. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- NEW! And in mint condition. This noble blue color is sometimes known as alexandrite (lavender). It is produced using elements of rare earth. These give the glass its special character, in that the glass appears to be differently colored in daylight and under artificial light. NEW! And in mint condition. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- These Desna Art pieces of frosted crystal, malachite glass and panel cut crystal masterpieces was first introduced at the beginning of the 20th century. Since World War II production of the collection was reduced to only limited quantities and select pieces. Now for the first time in several decades, these art glass masterpieces are being introduced in their entirety, in most instances from the original antique molds. This is a very beautiful piece!
