The base has been cut and smoothed to form a firm base that will not damage any furniture that it is displayed on. The well defined crystals have flat sides to free stand and the edges are highly polished making it easy to pick up and touch. All crystals have long angled sides and are smooth like glass. This high-quality Amethyst Cluster would also make a great gift for someone special, or an interesting conversation piece when displayed on your desk. Forming throughout 50-500 million years ago this beautiful geode Cluster began as a gas bubble in a volcanic lava flow and was extracted from deep in the ground.
