Please see exact measurements below. ~~Amethyst with Cacoxenite~~ **Espirito Santo, Brazil** 1.45" overall 7 grams pendant 1.4" x .97" x .35" One of my finds at the Gem and Mineral Shows in Denver was this new material from the same area that produced Super Seven, Espirito Santo, Brazil. This stone contains Amethyst, Cacoxenite, Goethite, Hematite, Clear Quartz, Smoky Quartz and Citrine. As with Super Seven, not every mineral will be present in every piece. This stone is also called Seven Sisters Amethyst. This beautiful pendant is a rough stones set in Sterling Silver (though it is not stamped), contains Amethyst, Clear Quartz, Cacoxenite, a touch of Smoky Quartz, maybe Goethite, that I can see. The other minerals may be there and I am just not seeing them. This pendant will come in a pouch for storage or gift giving. Amethyst is purple Quartz. The word Amethyst comes from the Greek word "amethystos" meaning not drunken. It is a meditative and calming stone. Amethyst purifies and transmutes negativity. Amethyst also protects against psychic attacks and protects travelers. It has a long history of being used to support one in overcoming addictions. It is associated with the Third Eye and Crown Chakras. Cacoxenite is Hydrated Iron Aluminum Phosphate Oxide Hydroxide, is a yellowish to brown to reddish brown mineral that is commonly found as accicular masses or tufts. It has a hardness of 7 on the Mohs Scale of Hardness. It often occurs as an inclusion in Quartz, especially Amethyst. It is a rather rare mineral. Cacoxenite in Amethyst can bring new ideas to one's thoughts and can activate the third eye and crown chakras, the energy centers at the forehead and crown. It is said to bring one's personal will into harmony with the higher self. According to Melody in "Love is in the Earth A Kaleidoscope of Crystals Updated ", "Goethite helps one to attune to the ethereal realms, and enhances communication with "the angels". It also facilitates clairaudience and, sometime, allows one to hear the music of the ethers." She also says "...may be used to grid an area to enhance and strengthen the energy for welcoming spaceship landings." Hematite is a metallic gray Iron Oxide mineral. Its name comes from the Greek word for blood as the streak Hematite leaves is red. Hematite is the most well known stone to use for grounding and absorbing negativity and transforming it into love. Hematite is also said to enhance memory and intellect It is a strong Root Chakra stone. In this stone it can occur as silvery phantoms or as red flecks and dots. Quartz Crystal is a stone of power! It receives, stores, activates, amplifies, and transmits energy. It enhances properties of other stones. It dispels negativity and clears away negative energy. Clear Quartz is excellent for meditation and healing work. It is a very versatile multipurpose healing stone that can both draw and send energy. It works with all Chakras. Smoky Quartz is said to be a protective stone, it relieves depression and can lessen negative thought forms. It is grounding and can increase our tolerance for stress. Very clear Smoky Quartz are the most intense, powerfully opening the Crown Chakra emanating light all the way down to the Root Chakra. Citrine is the yellow/orange variety of Quartz. Its chemical formula is SiO 2 and it has a hardness of 7 on the Mohs Scale of Hardness. Natural Citrine is Amethyst that was near magmatic bodys and was heated naturally, in Mother Earth. Citrine works with the Solar Plexus and Naval Chakras. Citrine can help build our self-confidence, and help in overcoming depression. Citrine has been called the 'merchants stone" as it is believed that by carrying a piece in your wallet, or placing a piece in the cash drawer, it will assist in acquiring wealth and to maintain that state.
