Rare Ammonium Diuranate Yellowcake Sample I am selling a second sample of yellowcake from my collection, in the form of ammonium diuranate, which has been sealed in a glass ampoule. Although the pictures shown are of a different batch, the sample will be sealed the same and I guarantee the quality to be identical with a radiation count equal or greater to that listed below. In the picture you can see that the sample before being sealed shows a total radiation measurement of over 16,000 counts per minute (CPM beta plus gamma using Victoreen Model 700 6b geiger counter). This sample, although the sample for sale is only a portion of that which is pictured in the geiger measurement photo---even within its glass tube and tested with a pancake probe the radiation count is the same of 16000 counts per minute beta plus gamma, and would be assuredly higher outside its sealed container as the alpha and low-energy beta particles screened by the glass would be included in the overall count. I only have a small quantity of this material available for sale and do not know how long until I might be able to put up for purchase more. This sealed source would be a great addition to anyone's mineral collection and would also be great as a portable test source for a geiger counter. Also this salt of uranium is a great starting point for other uranium form syntheses and can be made easily into the fluorescent form of yellowcake if one is inclined. I welcome inquiry also into further information on the fluorescent forms of uranium salts. I must stress that I do follow all regulations when shipping radioactive items, including labeling requirements. Packages mailed will be marked as follows: Mailable Excepted Articles Containing Uranium or Thorium. “This package conforms to the conditions and limitations specified in 49 CFR 173.426 for radioactive material, excepted package—articles manufactured from natural uranium (or natural thorium), UN2909, and is within Postal Service activity limits for mailing.” Thanks again for taking the time to check this listing and for all bids. All profits will be put into a small start up business dealing in nuclear fusion/neutron technologies, radon testing, as well as to finishing my education at the College of Idaho---thanks again for all your help--- Please check out my items in the future and currently up as I will be continuing to list items from my collection as I become brave enough to sell some items that I've had for some time and are often one of a kind---including antique x ray and crookes tubes, geissler tubes, radioactive red Fiestaware and other dishware, uranium glaze tiles, granites, uranium ores including cuprosklodowskite, torbernite, autunite, andersonite, and pitchblende samples, as well as scientific testing equipment. With Regards, James
