AMT Kit # 8231 is a 1997 Ford SVT Mustang Cobra plastic model kit in 1/25 scale. The kit is in an open box and in new condition. The kit parts are molded in light gray plastic. They are still sealed in the original factory plastic bag. There is also a chrome tree, black vinyl tires, clear plastic windows and lens parts, and a decal sheet. The backing paper on the decal sheet has yellowed a bit but this has not affected the decals (see close-up picture). The box cover is in new condition (see close-up pictures). This kit is the original 1996 release of this model. It features a very nicely tooled 1997 Mustang Cobra body. It also features a 4.6 liter, 32 valve, 305 hp V-8 engine, Goodyear GS-C 255/45 ZR17 tires, rear wing spoiler, flow through hood, side scoops, and detailed interior and chassis. This kit has been a modeling favorite since released. It would be a great addition to your collection or for you builders looking for a unique building project.
