We have purchased a building across the street from our location so we will be having a great summer sale on Ebay & in our store. We will be staying in our present location so we will have over 3000 square feet to serve you better!! We are looking for more quality dealers. I have a family favorite piece to sell which is an original Gustav Stickley music cabinet with paper sticker that was originally a magenta color but has faded. This was originally purchased by my grandparents around 1912, willed to my Dad & given to me when I was first married. The key was lost by my Dad when he was a small boy & playing around the house. When I was a child this was my fort with the shelves removed. My Mom stored her favorite crystal & sterling silver in this cabinet when I outgrew my " fort " stage. I also used this as storage for crystal & sterling silver. I repeat this is an original & not a reproduction. I pray this piece goes to someone who can appreciate its strength, its beauty & craftsmanship. The size of this piece is 19 3/4 inches wide, 46 7/8 inches high & 16 inches deep. T are 5 shelves which are adjustable.
The original Stickley hardware is untouched, only the key hasn't been seen since about 1920. The condition is good. It is the original finish which has only been dusted. This is not a museum piece, it is a piece which has served my family day in & day out for almost a century. T are a couple of scratches on the top, a foot impression from an old clock, 2 of the side boards are showing a small gap between the joined pieces. T are also signs at the front feet of my vigorous vacuuming. The true story is how this piece has come through the test of time which Gustav Stickley attention to wonderful materials, craftsmanship & still wonderful design. T are many more things I could say but hope the pictures tell the whole story. Please email any questions. We would like this to be pick up at our store but I realize that is unrealistic.
