An Exceptional Survivor !!!!!!!!!!!! This is a Ca.1760 Revolutionary War Encampment Cooking Kettle. They were carried by the Soldiers from Battle to Battle, and were more often than not, discarded along the road due to the weight. This Size Kettle would serve about 4 -6 soldiers . This example is in excellent original overall condirion ,with a superb surface Patina. it was never used as a planter ,nor was it ever painted. It has NO repairs or Hairline Cracks. The feet show the proper wear to the tips. It measures about 7" high x 8" in Dia .at it's bulbous center. I'm selling it with NO reserve ,and only one penny to start.
