This co in was graded by America's oldest grading service, ANACS, as VERY FINE-30 with toning on both sides, excellent details and wonderful eye appeal! View the pictures we took for you and see for yourself! We are sure you will like what you see! The Morgan Dollar is named after its designer, George T. Morgan, who designed the obverse and reverse of the coin and were minted from 1878 to 1904 and again for one more year in 1921. The dollar was authorized by the Bland-Allison Act of 1878. It has a fineness of .900, giving a total silver content of 0.77344 troy ounces (24.057 grams) per coin. The Carson City Mint was built at the peak of the silver boom, 57 issues of silver coins minted here between 1870 and 1893 bore the "CC" mint mark. The mint was established in Carson City to facilitate minting of silver coins from silver in the Comstock Lode, somewhat like how the San Francisco Mint was established to facilitate minting gold coins from the gold of the California gold rush. What an excellent addition to any Morgan collection and a great investment. We will start at just $9.99 and there will be NO RESERVE.(L) We try to honestly describe everything we sell, but please view the pictures and grade for yourself. No warranties are expressed or implied in our opinion of the grades.
