Anagrams 1934 Tricolor PLUS vintage domino double 9 Two items up for auction 1. Anagrams game marked Embossing Company, Albany, N.Y., U.S.A., without date. It was earlier than 1934, according to Internet research, which makes it at least 75 years old. This game was much played-with and it shows. It must have been a popular game at its house. All the box pieces are here but there are splits and some tape. The game number is missing. Tiles are black wood; embossed letters are in white, red and light blue. Tiles are about the size of a quarter. We haven't counted the tiles but we will if anyone asks. If you don't own this game, here's a great place to start and replace when you find a better set. Or use the parts for craft and art projects. 2. Dragon dominoes, double nine set by Halsam Company, undated. Interesting trivia: Halsam bought the Embossing Company in 1955. Good quality wood (probably ebony). This appears to have never been played with. The box had normal wear for a vintage item, rubs but no tears or splits. Nice set for playing if not displaying.
