This is an ancient Alaskan Eskimo food dish bowl found on St. Lawrence Island. Several hundred years old, it was carved from a piece of drift wood. The bowl was probably abandoned after it cracked and was tossed into a trash pit which is w most of the artifacts are found on the island. It measures 2 1/4" high x 14" long x 4 1/2" across the center and 1 3/4" deep in the center. It is in as found condition.
