This type of necklace was worn by the Moorish, and the Almoravides Empires along the Iberian Peninsula in the heart of the Medieval Crusades. This rare ancient necklace has a striking design with multiple twisted silver pendants dangling along the center of the necklace accented by circular pieces with linear designs reminiscent of the sun. The chain and clasp are of ancient design. This entire beautiful piece is made of linked thick silver pieces made into a work of art. It is unfortunate one cannot find such solid silver work today. It is also unfortunate that modern jewellers lack the desire or the motivation to create such meaningful designs.
