Albert Richardson III, Ph.D 5630 Westheimer Court Houston, Texas, 77057 Rare Egyptian Heart Scarab, Jan. 18, 1979 Rare Ancient Egyptian 18th Dynasty Heart Scarab, carved steatite scarab from the Dynasty of Thutmose III, froma famous European collector.This hand carved Steatite heart scarab is of museum quality and condition and in my opinion one of the finest ofthe Ancient Egyptian Scarabs from the London Collector Dr. W.R. Davies, a British Member of Parliament.The collection was assembled and authenticated in the 1920's by Professor Kurt Sethe at the Studio Aegyptiaca I.48,Pontificam Institutm, Rome. The collection was acquired by Dr. W.R. Davies in 1972.This object d`art is inscribed with hieroglyphics from the Book Of The Dead, that promised good fortune. Scarabs ofthis quality are rarely seen outside of museums. As an inspirational and educational tool by which to study mankind itis priceless.
