A refined, rare and ancient Roman bronze casket mount, dating to around 100 BC.In the shape of a lions paw resting on a plinth, with a stylized crest motif flowing above.Mounts of this kind were a highly popular style across the Roman Empire, adorning the bronze caskets and vessels of the wealthy.
