Up for sale on eBay, this beautiful Woodblock print by Ando Hiroshige. This is a real woodblock print, and please note that this is an ORIGINAL print by Hiroshige guaranteed, made in 1855, during his lifetime . This is NOT a reproduction, re carved edition, later or posthumous edition, giclee or lithograph or some sort. Artist: Ando Utagawa Hiroshige (1797-1858) Title of the Print: 53 Stations of the Tokaido 'Tate-e' # 53: Sailing Boats at Yabase Ferry Gate on Kusatsu Beach, Kusatsu 1st Publication: 1855 Size: 8-3/4 x 13-1/2 + Margins as Shown Date of this edition: 1855 First Edition Publisher: Tsutaya Kichizo Carver: Aratame Condition: A small hole repaired from reverse on the left margin. A couple of pin holes. Some very slight left over backing from prior mounting on the upper corners. Light color fading due to mounting. Very good overall condition. Notes: There are at least 11 series of the 53 stations of the Tokaido. This print is part of the Tate-e Series, also known as the vertical Tokaido. A great print from the famous tokaido road serie from Master Hiroshige. Good luck and :)
