Book of photographs by Andre Kertesz (1894-1985). He was born in Budapest and lived in Paris from 1925-1936. The book was published in 1945, just after the end of World War II, but contains photographs taken when he lived in Paris before moving to New York and becoming an American citizen.The book does not have the dust jacket that came with it. The cover is worn and shows age discoloration and the pages are intact but slightly loose. There is no foxing on the pages. Some of the pages have a tiny bit of gray smudging probably from the original printing. The pages are otherwise unmarked and not torn or damaged.The book is edited by George Davis and printed by J.J. Augustin Publisher in New York.I am not a dealer, I inherited this book from my father, an architect with an interest in photography who probably bought it when it was new.I can not give a formal condition or appraisal.
