The beautiful plate listed in this auction was manufactured by Andrea by Sadek in the Winterthur series, and the pattern features a glossy white surface decorated with sweetpeas. The bottom of this plate bears the manufacturer's mark (see photographs) as well as the source from which Winterthur adapted this design (which dates back to James Polk's presidency). This Winterthur plate is approximately 10 1/2 inches in diameter. This Andrea by Sadek "Winterthur - Sweetpeas" plate is in excellent to near-mint condition with no chips, cracks, staining, crazing, or other signs of damage. This item appears to have been placed on display and never used for serving food. If t are any utensil marks, they are very faint, and I cannot see them with the unaided eye. (Please note that I photographed this item outdoors using a combination of natural light and flash. Any white spots or glare are a result of the use of the flash.) The winning bidder will pay only for the actual shipping cost plus the cost of insurance coverage which will be required on this item.
