Rare Andrew Jackson Silk Mourning Ribbon 1845, Andrew Jackson Silk Mourning Ribbon, With a Portrait of an Elderly Jackson Wearing Glasses, Extremely Rare, About Fine. This original, 7" x 3" Andrew Jackson Mourning Ribbon, printed in black on white silk, depicts a woman weeping at a funeral monument, with a 4 line poem about Jackson and the inscription, "A Nation Mourns - A Hero Gone" below. This fragile ribbon is laid to a piece of thick paper for protection. There are a few holes and several pulls and thins, however, this ribbon is intact and appears to be complete. The inscriptions are readable and the images are clear. An extremely rare memorial to the seventh President of the United States.
