Signed Original Cantina Mata Ortiz Mexican Pottery

A beautifully made and rather unusual handcrafted pot because of its ability to be hung as an alternative method of display. I t could have a striking appearance if strategically hung on an appropriate wall or would also look very pleasing displayed other ways.

Angel Amaya , a master potter listed on page 82 of The Many Faces of Mata Ortiz, specially made the cord for me whilst I talked with he and his wife in their Mata Ortiz home. As always, with Angel, the pot speaks of its quality through its finish and being lightweight. It is totally hand made using traditional methods and a traditional design.

* Would make an ideal gift or could be a piece to start or compliment a collection.

I regularly visit Mata Ortiz always buy directly from the potters and only buy pieces for resale that I would be happy to own myself. They are all made and fired using traditional methods.

Every pot is shipped individually, other than by special arrangement, and is double-boxed as I don't want you to be disappointed when your artwork arrives. Pottery is shipped within two working days of payment via PayPal , usually by USPS Priority Mail , unless you choose the alternative I sometimes provide. Returns are accepted within 7 days provided they are in original condition and returned and insured at the buyer's expense.
