Minghetti Italian Plates Search Description We are delighted to offer this beautiful set of eight vintage Italian dinner plates fresh from a local estate auction. These plates bear the mark of the renowned Angelo Minghetti majolica factory of Bologna, Italy. The Minghetti family operated the factory until the mid 1930's, eventually selling to a successor who continued production until 1967. This set, probably dating from the mid 20th Century, features a brilliant turquoise ground on which a romantic courting couple is hand painted. Each plate has an entirely different scene in its center field and is decorated with five single blossoms adorning the wide outer rim. The plates measure 10 3/4" (27.4 cm) in diameter and are in pristine condition. These pieces are free of chips, cracks, scratches, hairlines, glaze flakes, crazing or repairs.
