This is a beautifully compiled book ACCORDING TO THE SARUM USE which provides that the 'Proper of Seasons' should be arranged in a simple and compact manner, and that all the best Eucharistic hymns, fit for congregational singing, should be collected and classified to suit the parts of the liturgy at which hymns are generally sung ie at the Oblation or Offertory, after the Consecration and during the Ablutions.

T is also a wonderful Introduction by the legendary Anglo-Catholic, Canon T T Carter, Rector of Clewer and Founder of the Sisters of Saint John the Baptist.
Understandably, this is one of the rarest of the Anglo Catholic collectors' books .
