A fine mahogany piece crafted for export in 1840 by English trained cabinet makers. It has an upper case of two doors with brass astragal edge molding. When open, it reveals four generous sliding shelves for easy storage access. Below is a two- over-two drawer configuration with replaced, but period, handles. The lower case is supported by very unusual camel feet. The upper case is finished with a traditional box crown. In three strategic areas, ebony trim molding is used to accentuate this pieces bold lines. Measures 82 high x 48 1/2 wide x 23 deep The condition is very good
