From the 19th century, (perhaps older??) a Large, Gently Scalloped Chinese Export Famille Rose Medallion Bowl. In the traditional Mandarin style, with the exterior decorated with literary figures, birds, butterflies,roses and garden flora, and the interior decorated with a rim banding of roses and greenery. The center of the bowl has a bird on a rose bush, surrounded by butterflies. Size is: 9 1/2" diameter x 4 1/2" hi and in excellent condition, with some age spots in interior (as shown in photo) and slight fade to glaze. Special note: It may be difficult for me to be able to reply to any possible email messages from Friday June 6 th until Sunday evening June 8 th . I will be traveling, seeking more items for ebay.
