Absolutely beautiful woodcarving of a kitten by Anri (Italy), well known for its lifelike and collectible woodcarvings. Fully hallmarked and with the original paper label still intact (see photo). Beautifully handpainted and quite realistic, the young cat reaches outward with one front paw with an intensely inquisitive expression on her charming face. Cat lovers and collectors will appreciate the realistic decoration and lifelike carving. Measures 3 1/2" tall by 4 1/4" long. Mint condition but for the right ear tip, which has had the paint rubbed off (see photo) but which has NOT been chipped. This is merely a paint rub and could be easily touched up with acrylic paint from a craft store. Otherwise lovely condition with NO breaks, chips, cracks, repairs or restorations.
