Ansonia Silverplate Figural Owl Clock & Inkwell Patd.1878--This is a VERY RARE, Ansonia, OWL novelty clock..The owl measures 6" tall.The clock face measures 2 1/4" in diameter.The dial is marked with the Ansonia logo and "Patented April 23rd 1878". (The 1878 is marked near the bottom of the hand shaft,and difficult to photograph)..The clock runs..BUT it is sold as found.The owl is made of silverplate metal.He has blown glass eyes.His head is hinged.The opening in the top is approx. 1 1/2" in diameter.He would have held an inkwell insert.The silverplate is in very good condition.This is a WONDERFUL, and HIGH QUALITY Ansonia novelty clock.It is VERY RARE!
