FIRST TIME FOR SALE FROM NORTH CAROLINA ESTATE - HEIRS HAVE ENTRUSTED US TO SELL THEIR TREASURES: FABULOUS LARGE "MUSEUM QUALITY" HEAVILY PATTERNED CROCHET SPREAD - Work of ART! From the Very Old North Carolina Estate name of MULVEY. Very well preserved in a cedar chest, this Fabulous Spread has an intricate Pattern, raised areas, , thickly crocheted and very beautiful. Classic off-white color, the Heirs made the decision to sell without laundering the piece. It is in such great condition - only a few expected age discolorations. Weighs 13 lbs, 10 ounces! Heirs estimate the age at 1900- 1910 (they know the (artist) expert who created it and the time frame of the person's death). Even the Deep 8" fringe is in wonderful condition. Approx measurements: 86 X 96" - photos show the spread on a Queen sized bed. We are listing some of the most fabulous Linen pieces from that Estate..they are works of art and have never been out of the LINEN PRESS before. We are purists and have not laundered and they are as found and they may contain expected age discolorations, etc. If we planned to use it, we don't think we would launder - it's that clean and fresh.
