ROYAL AIR FORCE - BIGGIN HILL STATION INFORMATION HANDBOOK PUBLISHED - THE BRITISH PUBLISHING COMPANY LIMITED DATE - LATE 1950s or EARLY 1960s This is a small 64 page stapled paperback which contains a map and a pleasing number of calories. It measures 7.25 x 4.75 inches (18 x 12 cms) This copy is in very good condition although it has been in a reference library (hence the punched hole) and lettering on the front cover. There is no stamps or print references of any library inside. There is a summary of the history of the airfield and much information about the present role for the base. It seems to be a very scarce title presumably because it was never on sale and issued to those who attended the base. An interesting item for anyone who wants anything to do with this famous air base with such a history in its involvement in the first and second world wars. Cheques are always welcome. Postage charged is for second class but if the item sells for over £10 then postage will be first class, if it sells for over £15 then the postage will be first class recorded and if the item sells for over £40 then the postage will be Royal Mail 24 hour special delivery.
