The stone is held in a classic six prong Victorian Crown filigree setting. T is a beautiful engraved arrow pattern along the sides with mill grain edges. It sits 6mm off the finger which gives the gem a larger look. The color of this gem is a classic perfect pink which was hard to capture in the photos. It is not reddish or fuchsia it is the perfect pink. The inside of the shank is engraved by the maker OB which stands for Orange Blossom and Company. This was a well know jeweler at the turn of the century who specialized in 18kt and platinum jewellery. Their pieces are rare and hard to find which makes this highly collectible for us antique lovers. This is a GENUINE ANTIQUE; NOT a REPRODUCTION. Sapphires are considered royal gems as they are held in the highest regard and are adorned by royalty worldwide. This solitaire ring is so elegant it can be worn proudly as an engagement ring.
