FABULOUS & HEAVY**C.1920 ANTIQUE 12K ROSE GOLD & GREEN GOLD FILLED NECKLACE-30gm I am so THRILLED to offer this ABSOLUTELY FABULOUS Antique 12K Rose Gold & Green Gold Filled necklace.. and this beautiful HEAVY piece in MINT condition and has NEVER been worn .. and would suit the serious or fastidious buyer.. and this would make a PERFECT gift ! I had bought several of these many years ago from a retired jewellers stock and located this one... a little different from the others i have sold in that it has a curblink chain on the either side supporting the links and it really looks fantastic and sits so well on the neckline .. I have kept a few items from this stock for myself and my daughter due to their amazing quality and I rarely keep things anymore .. so dont miss this opportunity to own this beautiful piece The links are TRUE ROSE GOLD , and GREEN GOLD with a rose gold clasp... ... the links are SOLID NOT HOLLOW and are called LOVERS KNOTS ...and this measures just over 15 1/5".. a VERY RARE FIND !! HISTORY It is Circa 1920 by design and styling. It is just fabulous and unique ..you dont find these in such lovely condition. It looks stunning on the wrist, and when being worn and it is so comfortable to wear and looks so rich and sumptous without being gaudy. Due to its condition it would suit the most fastidious buyer and would make a lovely gift. . It is stamped on the clasp 12K GF for gold filled, but it looks and feels like solid karat gold, and from the beautiful patina you would think it is solid gold.. Antique gold filled jewelry such as this is considered to be equivalent in quality to todays low karat gold,. and quite often gold filled findings such as clasps were used due to their strength and rigidity and the actual bracelets were solid gold...this indeed has that look and feel.! DESCRIPTION & SIZING The links are really breathtaking...they are intricately carved and each large link is a lovers knot in style, with a rose gold link and the other half of the knot in green gold..the connecting links are rose gold......and this piece catches the light with every turn...simply AMAZING ! These alternating links are TRUE rose gold and GREEN gold for a fabulous contrast .....and on the sides are large curb links supporting the lovers knots either side.. and what is visible is the lovers knots and the curblink fits sleekly into the side and nape of neck... and the patina is excellent as you would expect with quality antique jewelry.. The feel of this chain is fabulous, it has that ultra smooth look and feel when putting it on, that usually is associated with solid karat gold.. . It measures 15 1/2" in length ...so flattering on the neckline. The individual links are 1 1/8" in length and just under 1/2" in width...and the links are SOLID not hollow..so this can be worn 24/7 without fear of damage or denting. T are no dings or dents in this piece due to its solid and quality construction. It has a push down locking clasp..so this piece is wonderfully secure ! It is in FABULOUS PRISTINE antique condition as it has NEVER been worn !! It weighs a whopping 30 grams which further adds to its appeal! THis is a MUST for the discerning collector, or the antique rose gold collector,as these heavy necklaces are becoming so hard to find these days. The pictures do not reflect the rich colors of this beautiful heirloom piece, and they appear faded and washed out, but it is just STUNNING... so very hard to photograph because of the shiny surface. so please check my feedback so you may feel confident bidding with me.
