Antique 1335/1917 HANSA LINE Iran/Persian Sterling Bowl Look at this ! Don't miss it! is a very interesting piece of historical and maritime memorabilia. It is a solid Sterling Silver bowl which is a souvenir to commemorate the HANSA LINE, or a Ship's fleet route which passed through the Persian Gulf. Please take a look atthis informative website for more information on this route: /ships/lines/hansa.html We are not sure whether it was a souvenir or if it was used a board one of the ships which ran on the Hansa Line Either way, it is solid Sterling Silver, and inscribed HANSA LINE MADE IN IRAN The decorations are all hand chased with meticulous detail representing geometrical and floral designs, a typical Iranian style In the center t is an Iranian Silver coin from the early Pakhlavi Dynasty, which is dated 1335 on the Islamic Calendar, which corresponds to 1916-17 Measurements: Approx. 3.5" diameter x 0.75" high It weighs about 58 g or 2 oz.
