Antique 14 Karat yellow gold Amethyst and Seed Pearl Drop Pendant circa late 1800's early 1900'sThere are 5 faceted amethyst: 1 round - 6mm, 3 round - 4mm, 1 marquis - 7 X 11mm . There are 9 seed pearls. Hallmark 14K appears on clasp. I could not capture the hallmark in a photo.Given to my mother for her birthday in the 1960's by a friend who dealt in antiques in NYC. I believe this pendant is from the late 1800's, early 1900's.I had a very, very hard time photographing this piece to show its delicacy and beauty. The seed pearls were very hard to capture - there are 9 of them. The amethysts are a rich purple color with flashes of pink.My mother never wore it - not suited to her at all. I have never worn it either. It has been in a box for over 50 years. Time for someone to enjoy this very pretty necklace.Thank you for looking.
