Stunning antique 18K gold-gilt mourning locket with a creamy white pearl and a inner chamber containing a picture of a young woman and a locket of hair. Design is oval with beaded inset and gold star center enameled with cobalt blue set with the pearl. It appears to be from the Edwardian/Victorian era. The locket and crystal window in the back of the locket is in good condition with some sign of wear consistent with it's age. The discoloring around the crystal window will not affect the wearability of the piece. Great piece and hard-to-find mourning locket from the period. From the top of the bail to the locket bottom edge measures approximately 2 inches. The window is a generous 1-inch long. All items sent in special gift box or bag for gifting to others or to yourself. S hipping is FREE, and handling is 1 to 2 days. If priority mail and insurance are requested, it can be arranged. All items are well packaged for shipping, so you never receive a broken item. We appreciate receiving payment within 5 days of auction end.
