Absolutely outstanding early Dutch Delft vase that probably dates from the early 17th Century from 1637 although possibly also could date from around 1764 but the base mark looks to be the earlier period. Has the painted mark to the base underglaze in blue "L P Kan" (see picture 9). De Lampetkan ("The Ewer"). Height with cover 11.4 (29 cms). Height vase only 8.25" ( 21 cms). The vase has some small chips around the base, also a chip on the side half way up (see picture 7). T have also been two chips at the rim which have been filled and t are three hairline cracks from the rim (see pictures 4, 5 and 11). T is some damage to the cover with part of the finial missing and some chips around the flange (see pictures 3, 4 and 10)Fantastic work from one of the masters of Delft of the period. This is an outstanding vase of the 17th/18th Century period and is in remarkably good condition for its age (probably around 370 years old).
