Antique 1800's Victorian Sterling Silver German Hand Made Filigree Rose/Floral Bracelet!! Size: This inside circumference of the bracelet measures 7 and 1/2 inches. The bracelet does include a safety chain that is original to the piece! The bangle also include a very easy push down clasp to open to fit the hand and wrist in with ease. Please measure your wrist and read the measurements before bidding. We have had way too many returns due to people not doing this. Thank You. Style & Stone(s): This bracelet is one of the finest Victorian bracelets that i have ever seen! The bracelet is made of sterling silver and then covered with an elegant gold wash. The bracelet at one point had purple and other enamel colors painted on it, some of this is actually still on the bracelet, the purple hues. The purple enamel gives this bracelet an even more beautiful old Patina type look! Every portion of this bracelet was hand made, most likely upon custom order for a wealthy client of the jeweler. This is the type of quality that you just CANNOT buy anymore. Amazing floral Rose bud and bloom along with leaves motif across the whole of this amazing one of a kind bracelet. All of the filigree work and the rose motif was hand carved to give you this beautiful and elegant bracelet. Think about the time patience that it took to create a masterpiece like this! It's amazing that this brace;let is almost un-touched and in such good condition for the age that it is. The bracelet has been taken to 3 different jewelers who all gave me their on own personal opinions oh which all stated the age of this bracelet to be between 1880-1900. You see during the Victorian era not many people could afford precious metal jewelry. That being the case it was almost always custom ordered by rich and wealthy clients. With not much being made even less has survived the years of being melted, broken, and just simply lost with time. Please read the measurements before bidding, make sure to measure your wrist to make sure this will fit you. We have had too many returns with people not reading the measurements. Please read! Bracelet Markings: The bracelet is stamped 835 for 83.5% purity of silver. Sterling silver is 925 or 92.5% silver. The German around the turn of the century would use their silver coinage to create jewelry as this was the easiest and most efficient way to get the purity they wanted. The jeweler most likely rolled out silver coins into a flattened shape and then crafted the shape of this wonderful bracelet! The German silver coinage of the day was 835 Silver which is a tad lower than sterling so it's more durable to wear. Which is why this bracelet has stood up to the test of time so well. The bracelet is stamped 825 for 825 silver on the clasp when opened, it also tests and is guaranteed as such. Bracelet Details : This is a beautiful and Victorian bracelet!
