We are delighted to offer you this beautiful, fine old antique, 14 karat solid rose gold and genuine earth-mined rhodolite garnet ring, from the 1800s! This treasure has been fully inspected by a reputable jeweler, who stated the above facts to be true! and, the ring is indeed marked ' 14 k', as well as having been personalized, with an engraving, inside the band, in flowing script- a worn message of eternal love pledged tin! The ring is currently a size 6, and could be sized 2 whole sizes by your jeweler, if need be. The top, w the 3 garnets are securely prong set, measures just under 1/2 " ( 7/16" ) long, north-to-south. On either side of the gem stone area, t is a raised rib for Madame's added enjoyment. The shanks taper from 3 mm below the raised 'ribs', to 2 mm, in back . The ring weighs 2.0 grams, and is in very fine condition, considering it was made circa 1875, and worn with great devotion, by some lucky Lady! The three garnets are a rich translucent reddish-violet in hue, and an opening in the solid gold setting behind them allows for light transference, and enhances their lovely hues! They were cut in the old European style, and microscopic examination shows a tiny flea bite to the larger middle gem, which is unseen by my naked eye. ..mentioned for accuracy. This treasure easily will last another century and beyond, with proper care! Thank you kindly for your interest! :)
