Antique cast iron andirons. When these were made in the late 1800's they used a sand cast mold so they have a very rough texture. We have sold many andirons, including others from the late 1800's, but I have to say these are the nicest we have ever sold, and the heaviest. One weighs 20-1/2 lbs and the other weighs 19-1/2 lbs. This is another characteristic of the antique andirons, the weights are not exact for both. Embossed on each one "Gypsy" and the number "3". They measure 14" l (from back to front) x 8-1/2" w (leg span) x 14-1/4" h. They are in very good condition.
