AN ABSOLUTEDLY BEAUTIFUL ANTIQUE COMMODE We have up for auction a beautiful antique, 1800's, oak commode . This commode has most of the original features and measures: 30 inches tall x 30 inches wide x 16 inches deep. The wooden casters were replaced as well as the hinges on the doors. It still has the original brass pulls on the front of the drawers. It also has the original knob on the lowers doors as well as the wooden latch inside the knob and a metal latch at the bottom of the other door. The drawers measure: 23 inches wide x 12.5 inches deep x 3 inches tall. The drawers are also mortised and tenored with dovetailing details. The doors measure: 12 inches tall x 11.5 inches wide. The tops of the doors inside are planed at a downward angle and are mortised and tenant joints. The inside bottom measures: 25 inches wide x 14 inches deep x 13 inches tall. This commode has been stripped, but not refinished. It also had a crack in one side of the door and on one side that has been professionally repaired and is virtually undetectable. Very sturdy and in wonderful condition. These are getting hard to find at this age and this condition, even on ebay. Please visit our store for more absolutely beautiful antiques.
